I just wanted to acknowledge and thank you for your inspiring, passionate, and "compissionate" presentation that you gave on Saturday at Columbine High School in Littleton.

Although I have practiced chiropractic for 30 years, I was/am still shocked with the changes that have recently taken place that you so eloquently presented.

I feel that most of our so called "health-care" crisis is more of an "unaware" and "distorted perception" crisis.  I believe that if most people knew the truth and asked better questions, they would make better decisions and have better results.  I salute you in your efforts to awaken people minds and their spirits to the truth.

Judging by the long lines at your book-signing table, you really resonated with what people are experiencing and needing.  My "Aha" moment occurred after I heard you and saw the results on the audience.  People need to use their anger, frustration, and confusion and become more self-empowered and take more responsibility for what is happening to them.

Thank you again for your energy, commitment, and "compission".

Warmest Regards,

Dr. Ray Goddard

"Your talk was one of the most exciting and interesting presentations from a guest speaker since I started our monthly program of inviting specialty speakers to address our patients and their families and friends.  I was extremely impressed to witness how engaged our patients were while listening to you talk about your personal experience of fifteen years of working in the pharmaceutical industry. I was amazed by the number of patients that came up to me later that week to express their appreciation to me for inviting you into the practice.

If you have anyone who is contemplating doing a seminar or workshop with you, feel free to have them call me for a reference. You are truly amazing and an incredible talent."

"I was so impressed with your passion, your message, and the power and conviction that you have to deliver your information to our doctors. You made a lasting impression that has stimulated them emotionally to take action in their communities which may not have happened had they not heard your message. Your experience on the "other side of the fence", so to speak, is invaluable. Your information is amazing. Your passion is addicting. Your purpose and mission are divine.

We would love to have you speak at our organization several times in the future and I would recommend you as a lecturer to any organization who is ready to make changes in this country. You are a great leader, mentor and an inspiration to all."

On behalf of TruHealth Atlanta and all of the doctors offices involved, we applaud your life changing appearance at our inaugural event.  With the event so well attended, the buzz was beyond what we could have imagined.  The truth has a tendency to strike chords with people and during the break there were people phoning others on their cell phones, some scratching and shaking their heads, and even a few threats to walk out.  Speaking “against the grain” has that effect on people and a lack of these types of reactions would indicate that you are not doing your job.  Fortunately, this was not the case here.  The feedback after the event has been tremendous and we see much potential for lives to truly change as a result.

It is seemingly cruel that people have to go through personal turmoil and tragedy to be enlightened with the gifts and the abilities to serve and save others but everything has a purpose.  Without the personal, first hand experience behind you, your message would not have nearly the impact that it does.  However, because you have walked through it, you are an authority, a leader, and a light at the end of the tunnel.  The sacrifices you have made and continue to make are not unnoticed or unappreciated!  Thank you for making us a part of your speaking schedule.  We would love to make this a yearly event!

"Gwen hits the nail on the head with this book and really has accepted the challenge and is stepping out of the box to help save lives in America. We need more people like her. It also gives me black and white for patients to read and see that it is not just my opinion that drugs are killing America. Keep up the good work as I am fighting with you."

Confessions of an Rx Drug Pusher is an exploration into the dark side of mental health illness. Gwen Olsen is brave enough and angry enough to welcome the reader into her world of emotional trauma caused by drugs, alcohol and genetics.

Gwen weaves her stories of personal tragedies and the use of prescription mind controlling drugs that she sold into a shocking review of how drugs are used not to cure, but to control those with emotional and social behavior problems without any real concern about the potential deadly side effects. Drug marketing trumps good medicine.

The impetus for an insider to reject a financially rewarding career in pharmaceutical sales is the fiery self-immolation death of her bright, beautiful and beloved niece, Megan.

Her extensive research into deadly events caused by mind altering prescription drugs brings into reality the gravity of the medical decision to prescribe a treatment routine that doesn’t explore ways to reverse the medical condition.

The following quote by Dr. Candace Perth, the co-discover of the SSRI pathway which was the impetus for the creation of the multi-billion dollar SSRI class of mind altering drugs is a chilling statement.

“I am alarmed at the monster that John Hopkins neuroscientist, Solomon Synder and I created when we discovered the simple binding assay for drug receptors 25 years ago.”

Anyone who is or has a loved one taking these prescription drugs will be compelled to read Gwen’s saga and detailed investigation into this twilight world of drugging.

Only by knowing the truth can we change course and improve the quality of healthcare in the
United States. Gwen helps us focus on a critical area of needed improvement and pleads for us to save our children from drugging.

Confessions of an Rx Drug Pusher provides an inside story of the intimate and corrupting nature of the relationship between drug salespeople and prescribing physicians. Gwen Olsen describes her career as a sales rep with several of the top pharmaceutical houses. She was highly recognized (and rewarded) for her ability to push new drugs on wary docs, even as she repeatedly witnessed the sometimes deadly effects on their patients. The impetus for her transformation from drug pusher to whistleblower was her personal experience: a harrowing roller coaster existence on powerful mind-altering prescription drugs to which she had immediate access. Ultimately she became a victim of her own sales pitch, barely groping onto enough sanity to extract herself from the morass of chemically-induced psychosis. Her story makes the urgent call to informed consent very real and uncomfortably close to home.

Martie Whittekin, CCN, radio host of "Healthy by Nature"

Gwen personalizes and adds authentic drama to a topic that should be of great concern to all Americans. The overuse and side effects of prescription drugs are one of the leading causes of death in this country. Even those not on medications pay the price because the costs of the drugs are quickly bankrupting the system. “Confessions” is a well-written and engaging book. It is so rich with facts that I’d like to see it required reading in medical schools—to add just a bit of balance to the mountains of pro-drug propaganda the students receive.
